This weekend's course will deal with Art Nouveau and Art Deco styles through the works of Gustav Klimt and Tamara de Lempicka.
Torremolinos, March 4, 2021.
The Torremolinos City Council's Cultural Promotion area will continue this Saturday with the ‘Diver-Arte’ program, which includes creation and painting workshops and which has been held every month with the collaboration of Artenanos.
Specifically, the activity on March 6 will deal with Art Nouveau and Art Déco, from 12:00 to 13:30, at the Pablo Ruiz Picasso Cultural Center.
Due to the restrictions caused by the Covid-19, the number of places offered to participate is reduced and they have already been completed as has been happening since this activity began. “It is a proposal that is very popular with children, which is filling up every time it is carried out. The families are delighted and the children are being able to approach art in the first person and in a totally playful way”, explained the Councilor for Culture, David Tejeiro.
This cycle is aimed at boys and girls between the ages of 4 and 12 and is dedicated to the History of Art and the great figures of painting.
Since November, each month a specific style has been worked on, with March being the month of Art Nouveau.
After this Saturday, the cycle will continue on April 10, dedicated to the surrealist current through the works of Frida Kahlo and Salvador Dalí, to end on May 8, with the Pop Art workshop and the works of Andy Warhol and Coco Davez.
If the health situation allows it, the Diver-Arte program will end with the representation in the same Pablo Ruiz Picasso Cultural Center, on May 15, 2021 at 12.00 hours, of the didactic and fun theater play "Museum" of the company La Líquida, in which through actors, objects, puppets and projections manipulated live, they will go through the History of Art in a fun way.
