Torremolinos updates its Christmas cultural agenda with theater for all types of audiences. The Councilor for Culture of the Torremolinos City Council, David Tejeiro, announced today the launch of a cycle of children's theater and another of comedies during the weekends of December after the Constitution Bridge.

The delegation "continues to adapt the programming to mobility limitations and current health restrictions in order to continue offering citizens quality leisure and entertainment for the Christmas period," said the mayor, who highlights the commitment made by the City Council for the performing arts "directing it to children and adults as a complement to what we already had planned". The adaptation affects the schedule of events that, in the case of the theater, is "planned for Saturday and Sunday mornings".

The I Cycle of Theatrical Comedies will take place on Saturdays from 12 noon in the Associations Booth, and its profits will go entirely to the Art Against Hunger association. "The NGOs are doing an extraordinary job since the pandemic began to help the population that is experiencing the most difficulties at the moment and from the Culture area we want to do our bit and collaborate within our possibilities with these activities," explained Tejeiro.

The festival begins on Saturday, December 12 with the play Insert Coin, an improvisation show based on arcade video games from the 80s, to continue on the 19th with 'A not so legal blonde' and end on the 26th with 'Historias a against the clock 'formed by three works of micro theater. The Children's Theater Cycle will occupy Sunday mornings. Next Sunday, December 13 at 12:00 hours, the little ones will be able to enjoy 'Cubisú y Los Cubicubos', where a crazy music band will try to teach children the importance of recycling both at home and of the street.

The following Sunday, November 20 at the same time, the story of "Hansel and Gretel" will be taken to the stage, based on the story of the Brothers Grimm, where the Aquarium Theater company has made a children's adaptation in which the friendlier side of the protagonists. On this occasion, neither the father is so outcast (circumstances push him to make the decision to abandon it), nor is the witch so evil (it can be seen in the "unexpected" ending), nor are the children so naive, only boys willing to live your adventure.

And to complete the month, on December 27, also at noon, you will be able to see the show "Journey to the Light", the work of the Torremolinos director Pablo Beltrán where girls and boys will learn to manage their imagination and not depend so much on video games and television.

A series of comedies and another for children, whose tickets can be purchased online, will entertain the weekends of December.
