The Culture area opens the registration period for locals who want to participate in the IX edition.

The bars and hotel and restaurant establishments of Torremolinos that wish to participate and be included in the IX Route of Rock will have a period from today until next Friday, April 16, to process their application for registration in the General Registry of the Promotion area Cultural of the City Council.

This was announced by the Councilor for Culture, David Tejeiro, who has been optimistic about the realization of this event that last year could not be held due to the health crisis. "The intention is to be able to resume the route this spring and collaborate with the recovery of the establishments and also the activity of musical groups and artists who have been blank for almost a year", said the mayor, recalling that "always to the extent that restrictions, capacity and schedules allow it, and taking into account that the priority is to respect safe spaces”.

The days of celebration will be the next 14, 15, 16, 21, 22 and 23 May, although the schedule will be subject to the restrictions that are marked by the health authorities.

The concerts may be held outside the premises as long as they have the necessary space and do not harm the neighboring establishments. The city council will process an extraordinary permit for the celebration of the event, not being able to modify the authorized day and time. The venues can choose the day and time in which they wish to participate in their registration, and in the event that there is a coincidence between the venues on dates and times, a public draw will be held among those interested.

The bars that want to participate must fill in the registration form and the sworn statement model, and present the originals in the general register of the Cultural Promotion delegation from Monday to Friday from 09:00 to 13:30, or via email eventos@aytotorremolinos.es, in which case they must be digitally signed, and before 13.30pm on April 16.

In any of the cases, applications submitted by photography will not be accepted.

The organization, in order to promote the musical groups that are based in the municipality, will provide the locals that participate with a small stage or, failing that, promotional t-shirts for the event. A local musical group shall be understood to be those in which the majority, or at least half of its components, are residents of the municipality.
